The longer I'm here, the more I realize Candor is a bit more exciting than I thought. The..."plane"...wad attacked by pirates on the way over. We get here and there are guards all over the place. And after a killer workout...we're attacked by some homicidal portal jumping monster. Now we have guards about to potentially quarantine this entire building. And the day...isn't even over. Careful, Light. Or your..."excitement", will start "showing". Since when are you noticing my "excitement?" Since you switched from the loose gi to tight jeans, "Light Bright." Careful. I don't want Walt flying across the room at me fist first. No big deal. Just LightFlare Cannon and you'll be fine. Now where have I heard that one before?

Well...I think I've accomplished my initial mission and then some. Not only did I introduce you to Darkflare, but he's offered you a job. Gotta admit I didn't see that one coming. But, I'm gonna stick around for a bit. Maybe spend some of this prize money. I'm down with that. "Spidey senses" tingling, Dark? Indeed. Well...look on the bright side. We did manage to defeat the creature relatively unscathed. It's quite useful for..."easy infiltration" When "I" make those kind of jokes...it's funny. I agree. But I'm unsure what to think of this. On the one hand, we were able to best a strong creature by working together. One that could possibly be the strongest of whatever group or species these things are. On the other hand, you did mention this one is much stronger than any of the others you faced. If that is any indication of how these things will continue to appear, then each beast my be stronger than the last. Things are definitely not looking good for the home team... Anwalt didn't know just how right he was... This place is quite magical. Actually I think you're on the right track. I use portals myself. I can make them appear anywhere I want. Once I've made them appear in a particular place, I can make them reappear in the same spot. I can even do this from miles away. I can even travel to different worlds. I just have to visit them at least once. The reason is every place has it's own..."signature". Once you know that, you can return there whenever you want. Well...at least that's how I do it. I have to admit...it's a petty cool ability. That also explains why you didn't just warp to Candor...or Kalos even. Correct... No, sir. I don't wanna hold you up. Detective Abraxas: That was not the only one of its kind. Perhaps you may have seen the previous scene on your way here? That, too,, was another occurrence of the same type: a vortex appears, a creature leaps out of it and causes havoc. We were able to dispatch the creature before we suffered any casualties, and had the same result as the creature you slew outside. I can confirm that the creature was no longer a threat after its body collapsed into the strange goo; I have a feeling the same applies to your situation. But... Detective Abraxas: Those vortexes can reform at any given moment. There are currently five other sites that are actively being monitored at the moment, three of which have reopened and created multiple creatures, each different from the last one. Intel also reports that activity is greater outside of the city and within Applebell Forest. And all of this has begun happening within the last week. Detective Abraxas: Would you happen to have anymore questions about the situation? Oh, and do please keep this information to yourselves; sight of the vortexes is causing enough of a panic as it is. Ah...I can keep a secret, Detective. I have quite a few of my own. Don't we all... Speaking of secrets, detective. The name's LightFlare. I have a question. What did you do to defeat the creature you fought? And have they shared any common weaknesses? We were able to overwhelm it but that might not always be the case. The battle was over and the fighters begin to realize that they were among new faces... (Who are they?) Flandre! I see you decided to join us. I guess I won't need to reunite you with your old friend. So you know her? I saw you and the others attack the creature along side us. I immediately buffed you. It was obvious you were on our side. That was some quick thinking. I'm glad I could help. Is everyone ok?

Is it dead? Looks that way. Though that goo worries me. The creature has dissolved...but...something remains. Yeah! This putrid purple poop! Uuhhh... No...he's right. Something still lingers here. I don't think that creature even had a mind of it's own. It fealt..."possessed." That battle was intense and out of nowhere. Like that creature literally fell from the sky. Could it be possible something else is here as well and we don't know it? That's exactly what I think. But it's close...almost like it's among us. Or at least...watching us. I'd expect this type of thing back home. But here!? Heh...some vacation this turned out to be. The others continue to speculate as LightFlare stares at the purple goo and the strange "shadows"... (I know you're there. But why aren't you making a move? Or am I just imagining things?)

Time to tag up, Melina! Lets take him down! LightFlare quickly lunges toward the beast and perfoms a rising uppercut capable of connecting multiple time and sending the beast into the air. Simultaneously Melina executes a hard hitting combo capable of sending the creature into the air if it connects. Both LightFlare and Melina time their attacks so their last strikes connect at the same time. I'm going to crush YOUR SKULL! KUUUUUAAAAH! If Melina's and Light's attack manages to launch the creature, Anwalt will leap into the air, grab the beast and drop it on its head with a mid air suplex. If Melina's and LightFlare's attacks do not send it into the air, Anwalt will perform a Black Doom Spear, a powerful punch aimed at the creatures head. Kill it! Kill it! KILL IT! While this going on Umbra leaps through the portal while pulling his axe back towards him. If Anwalts suplex connects, Umbra will attempt to deliver an axe blow to the creatures neck while it is on the ground. If Anwalt does not connect with the suplex, Umbra will simply take a defensive stance. We're almost there! Flame Fusion! Lucent casts Flame Fusion on Melina. System Information 1. The creature stopped short of reaching Light as the chain was still hooked and prevented the creature from doing so. LightFlare stomps the ground and uses his stored chi to execute a powerful straight punch. If the punch connects it causes the target to collapse leaving it vulnerable for one turn cycle. Umbra summons 2 more wolves to grab the chain as they continue to pull the creature back. Anwalt dives through the portal behind the creature and performs a Chaotic Buster, a powerful hook punch that applies a weakpoint if it connects. Melina dashes back toward the creature. Melina uses her natural speed and added evasiveness thanks to Lucent's buff to dodge the arm yet again and runs creating more distance between her and the monster. As Anwalt, Umbra and the wolves continue to constrict the creatures movements. Take...him...DOWN! Get back! Anwalt dives through the portal behind him and comes out on the other side and grabs the chain again. Seal!

With Umbras', Melina's and Anwalt's attack bringing the creature to his knees, they continued to work together to bring down this menacing monster. Light's attack wasn't an attack at all...but merely an illusion. His body phased through the beasts body and appeared behind it. Crap! The axe didn't stick! Then we'll make it stick! Melina! Let's do it! Anwalt quickly hooks the axe within the openings on the back of the creatures "neck" before it could stand again. He then pulls on the chain as Melina helps hoping to secure the beast in one place. Meanwhile, Umbra still had the other end of the chain in his hand from from the portal behind him. Umbra summoned 3 wolves near him. Umbra and the wolves pulled on the chain providing added leverage for Anwalt and Melina. KOOOOOAAAAH! LightFlare wastes no time and charges for his next attack. The creatures swings cannot reach LightFlare, Melina or Anwalt as they are directly behind the beast pulling the chain even tighter. It's swinging only sinks the axe deeper into it's body. What the heck are you waiting on, Light!? Melina suddenly lets go of the chain and dashes toward the creatures sword arm hoping to keep it away from LightFlare. Light! Take him down! Hmph! LightFlare leaps into the air to deliver his next attack. You're target is within your grasp! Chill Focus! Lucent casts Chill Focus on LightFlare. System Information 1.
