  1. If you need any feedback on your creations, let me know. I really enjoy your stuff. Keep up the good work!
  2. International Karate +, often abbreviated as IK+, is a karate fighting video game published in 1987 by System 3, originally for the Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum. It has since been ported to a number of other platforms. The Commodore 64 version was released in the USA under the title Chop N' Drop. In the game, three karateka fight against each other on a beach, trying to be the first to score six points. After every two rounds, there is a bonus game which is either deflecting bouncing balls or kicking away bombs. The game can be played by one or two human players, at least one fighter is always controlled by the computer. Unlike its predecessor, International Karate, there is only one backdrop. However, different parts of the backdrop can be recoloured to several different themes by the players using specific keystrokes. The Amiga and Atari versions of the game (and possibly other versions, unconfirmed) had a number of "background antics", a Pac-Man would appear, a spider would descend, and a U-boat's periscope would occasionally be seen in the harbour. In addition, pressing the "T" key would cause the trousers of all three protagonists to fall down, after which they would do a double-take. Additionally, it was possible (on the Amiga version, at least) to type in four-letter curse words; the game would respond first by rebuking the player for their use of such language, and upon the second offence would reset the game. I love the AMIGA version! That main theme (composed by Dave Lowe) will forever stay in my head.
  3. Speedball is a video game series based on a violent futuristic cyberpunk sport that draws on elements of handball and ice hockey, and rewards violent play as well as goals. Speedball was released in November 1988 for the Atari ST and ported to the Amiga, PC (DOS), Commodore 64 and the Sega Master System; it was also for the NES as KlashBall. It was re-released in 2004 as one of the 30 games on the C64 Direct-to-TV. http://youtu.be/CMMtye7Ou4Q The game is played by two teams on an enclosed court with a goal at each end, similar to that of ice hockey or five-a-side football. The court contains elements that affect gameplay, such as score multipliers and power ups. Points are scored by successfully getting the ball into the goal, and also by injuring opposition players. The team that has amassed the most points at the end of the game is the winner. A player has control of only one outfield player on a team at any one time. The game may be played by one or two players; two player games are played competitively. I loved that game, back in my AMIGA 500 days. It´s was just GREAT and the music is splendid!
  4. Ok, today where getting really old-school... Yars' Revenge released for the Atari 2600 in 1982, it was Atari's best selling original title for the Atari 2600. In this game, the hero is an insect-like creature called a Yar who must nibble or shoot through a barrier in order to fire his Zorlon Cannon into the breach. The objective is to destroy the evil Qotile, which exists on the other side of the barrier. The Qotile can shoot at the Yar even if the barrier is undamaged, by turning into the Swirl. The player is warned before the shot is fired, and he can retreat to a safe distance to dodge the enemy's energy blast. The neutral zone is a field in the center of the screen where the Yar can hide from the pursuing enemy torpedo, but where the Yar cannot shoot. The Yar cannot evade the flying Swirl anywhere. http://youtu.be/pvjajVf3BEc Each level ends with the destruction of the Qotile or Swirl. Odd-numbered levels will have a stationary shield protecting the Qotile, even-numbered levels will have a rotating shield protecting the Qotile. The destroyer missile will follow the player faster as levels progress. I played hat game a lot back in the days! http://youtu.be/cp59VTqRIhY
  5. Forgotten Worlds, originally titled Lost Worlds in Japan, is a side-scrolling shoot-'em-up game by Capcom. Forgotten Worlds was first ported to various home computers in Europe by U.S. Gold in 1989. Versions were produced for the Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, and IBM-compatible PC. A Sega Mega Drive/Genesis version, produced by Sega, was released in Japan on November 18, 1989, with subsequent releases in North America and the PAL region in 1990. An emulation of the original arcade version is included in the 2005 compilation Capcom Classics Collection Vol.1 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, as well as in 2006's Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for the PlayStation Portable. http://youtu.be/gNvNuMb7axU Set in a distant future, an evil god known as Emperor Bios has destroyed most of the Earth, turning it into a desolated wasteland known as the "Dust World". Two nameless super-soldiers are created by the people to defeat Bios and the eight evil gods who serve him. My BFF and I played numerous versions of that great co-op game! BTW... The Player 1 character appears in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes as a "helper character" assisting the main fighters, under the name of "Unknown Soldier". The two Unknown Soldiers, as well as Sylphie the Shopkeeper, are playable characters in Namco x Capcom. Their theme is a remix of the first level music. http://youtu.be/lOZ7GvlgMM8 ...and, I never knew that, but... The War God boss of Forgotten Worlds appears in Guy's ending in Capcom Fighting Jam!
  6. The Chaos Engine is a top-down run and gun video game developed by the Bitmap Brothers and published by Renegade Software in 1993. The game is set in a steampunk Victorian age in which one or two players must battle the hostile creations of the titular Chaos Engine across four landscapes and ultimately defeat the Chaos Engine and its deranged inventor. http://youtu.be/55jpHprP_ao It was first released for the Commodore Amiga, a version available for AGA Amigas, and later ported to MS-DOS, and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Atari ST, Amiga CD32, Amiga 500, RISC OS and Sega Mega Drive platforms. The U.S. versions of these two ports were retitled Soldiers of Fortune. http://youtu.be/Uq8Nmwn4IQ0 Players choose two mercenaries from a group of six to take on the task of defeating the mad Baron Fortesque and the Chaos Engine itself. The playable characters have various qualities that affect gameplay, such as, speed and combat ability. In one-player mode, the computer artificial intelligence controls the second player, so that one never has to fight the chaos alone. Control of characters cannot be swapped once chosen. It is possible to play with only one character, by starting up a two-player game and killing off the second character. The advantage of this is that a single character will get more money and level up faster since it isn't being shared with another player. One of my childhood games! My BFF and me had numerous play throughs. Good ol´times!
  7. X-Out is a horizontally scrolling shoot-em-up released by Rainbow Arts for the Commodore 64 in 1989, the Amiga, Atari ST, ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC. Eight levels in a underwater setting, you can visit a shop between levels and purchase new submarines, weapons and satellites, even specify their movement pattern. Music was composed by Chris Hülsbeck. http://youtu.be/WeEmfFdyLlM Loved this game back in the days and again, great music from Chris Hülsbeck. http://youtu.be/BaEvSWE8V1w
  8. Chuck Rock is a slapstick side-scrolling platform video game of the early-to-mid 1990s, which was initially created by Core Design in 1991 and was subsequently ported to a large number of home consoles of the time over the next few years. The setting of the game is a fantasy prehistorical Stone Age-era world that is shared by both neanderthals, woolly mammoth, saber-tooth tigers, dinosaurs, and various assorted wild primeval monsters such as prehistoric mammals, giant insects, man-eating plants, and other exotica. The eponymous Chuck Rock is an overweight, square-jawed caveman characterized by loutish and lewd behaviour perhaps influenced by the lad culture of the 1990s. Chuck has a limited vocabulary (his favourite phrase being "Unga Bunga" and not much else), has a balding head cut into a punk-style mohawk, eats whole dinosaur-steaks raw in one bite, and has a penchant for picking up rocks and throwing them at things, hence his name. Chuck is a guitarist and singer (or shouter) in a rock band along with some other cavemen, his foxy blonde wife Ophelia Rock, and a long-haired dinosaur bass player; and whilst on stage he wears a long wig to hide his balding head. One day, Ophelia Rock is kidnapped by jealous local bully Garry Gritter (a pun on the name of contemporary pop star Gary Glitter) and carried off to Gritter's hang-out in the creepy dinosaur graveyard. Chuck must go to her rescue, searching for her in primeval jungles, swamps, lakes, an ice-capped mountain top, underground caves, and even the insides of a gigantic dinosaur.
  9. Oh, nice old school SNES stage! Thank you!
  10. Great! Love this update and the intro. You have to mirror p2 intro...
  11. If you use that NES King Kong scream & cheast beating sound effect for the intro, use it for his taunt & win animation too.
  12. Really nice. Stomp attack should move forward IMO or/and the stomp should be a air move. If you can, recreate that Intro (with the thought bubble, seeing Mrs Kong cry for help and that chest beating/Kong screaming NES sound effect). Just a suggestion.
  13. Sadly, it does not, still it´s very nice to see a classic Sonic stage in MUGEN. Thanks!
  14. I´m surprised, the clsn is really good. But the commands are all over the place. I studied the cmd file, it´s such a mess, no wonder I couldn´t get some of the hypers to work! Inconsistence & many traces from the "original/un-edited" commands. It does need some work...
  15. I would really like to see Rulk in MUGEN, but the clsn is ridiculous!! Sorry to say that, but it´s simply BAD!
  16. Thank you! I really enjoy your work and I´m trying to give some feedback. It´s always nice if someone appreciates your judgment/feedback. Keep up the good work!
  17. Go! Getsu Fuma! Really nice idea to use those sprites to recreate this classic char! I enjoy your use of the retro sound effects & his abilities. Great stuff! Will test and give some feedback. EDIT: AI is cheating! AI can use super moves without the required power bar amount. "Mystical Costume" super is very powerful for a level 1 super, maybe you should switch "Protective Orbs" as a level 1 (seeing as how small the damage is from the orb hits) and "Mystical Costume" to a level 2 super. Small suggestion - use the step sounds in the "3D Maze style attack" for Getsufumas running step sounds. "3D Maze style attack" super - p2 is not turning around if Getsufuma is switching sides, other way around (p2 is turning when p2 is switching sides with Getsufuma) it´s working. How about adding the "Sword Wave" unique move to his jumping z attack, since he could do that in the source game too?
  18. Oh great!! Really nice work aperson! Love the YTP version and the "normal" one. Some very quick feedback... - Maybe add some little screen shake to Stone Luigis landing after jump and some "stone hitting" block sounds to give him a heavy feel - YTP Luigis Negative Zone is VERY annoying with all the WEEGEE sound (maybe it´s done on purpose, then it´s "ok") Will give more feedback in some time.
  19. Dr. Hans Reinhardt: "Protect me from Maximillian!"

  20. Hm, this looks very interesting. Count me in for feedback...
