Solved. When trying to add some new buttons to the post editor and multiple language support, I toggled the "enable auto translate button" which was Supposed to make it so viewers could click on a block of text in another language and get a quick translation to their own. Instead the option fucked the whole place sideways for about 5 minutes and then the problem was gone. And it didn't even buy us breakfast.
