I was wondering why that file was so big, there's nothing better than putting a bunch of uncompressed, stereo 44KHZ wav files in your character. A good 62MBs of data used for songs I'm not even sure have working triggers or states that can be branched to.

The only problem is keeping sprite consistency. Snivy's animations are really smooth as far as most animations go, plus he's hi-res, and then there's the shading style...

Hi-res sprites are the hardiest to work with. One for being big, two the shading.

I made Hitmonchan and currently making Treecko. The sprites were made by some guy named JoshR691. For now, Hitmonchan is finished but has missing sprites when it comes to throws and certain move. You can find his customized Pokemon sprites on this link.
