  1. Thanks a lot for appreciating the work I made on her. Saki Mamiya updated to v 2.10. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/dc5c86ugmndc3hj/saki_mamiya_z_2_10.rar/file Her best update so far. * I added a new game mode in her config file in which her special moves don't cost power anymore. Her supers and D-CAN cost 1000, and MAX Mode, 2000. The most common complaint about her gameplay so far was about her having a requirement of 250 power for every single special move. That was how she played in Inma no Ken, and I brought that feeling to my Mugen conversion of her. I had been afraid to touch the entire code I made for her, since there are lots of mechanics to take into consideration and whatnot. Turns out that giving this feature for her ended up being much more simple than I thought. * Fixed a bug where the player couldn't perform her aerial tatsus during a Spinning-Bird-Kick-ripoff during MAX Mode. * Fixed a bug where her Strong Aerial tatsu couldn't knock down a non-airborne opponent * Fixed a bug where performing a Crouching Light Kick during D-CAN caused her to travel through the entire screen. * Added an option in her config file that makes her Standing Heavy Punch not knock down an opponent after several consecutive light attacks. Since her Standing Heavy Kick doesn't have this feature and adding this option makes her gameplay flow nicely, why not? Long story short. Now you can make her more powerful than ever by putting all the options you can toggle on into use: Have fun.
  2. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/dc5c86ugmndc3hj/saki_mamiya_z_2_10.rar/file Make sure to look at the config file to check for new options that I made available for her. Demo video (Lv8 new AI x Lv8 old AI): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xESIPkIYDT4 The main reason for this new update is that I finally added the long overdue ability to cancel supers into supers. I had been working on my chars recently (taking off the rust from not having touched them for over 3 years), but she was the only one who received genuinely substantial additions. I'm also making public some extra NSFW sffs, with various degrees of skin exposition, which I made back when I was working on her color separation. I had been keeping them private through all these years, but since this is a 2.0 version, I felt like finally sharing them.
  3. I had to make an emergency update on poor Annie. I noticed that in the previous version, her SDM failed to juggle with the last hit if her Juggle System was set to Mugen Mode. Please download this fixed version: http://www.mediafire.com/file/x2ualrfabprqhr2/annie_z_beta_05_09_2018.rar
  4. Yes, this status is about that Logan Paul's incident:

As someone who suffered from depression enough to consider suicide, and as someone who made a big progress in this regards thanks to starting studying Japanese language, I relate a lot to this video and I feel like it should be viewed by as many people as possible:

Dear Mr. RobotMonkeyHæd, it is very interesting to know a little bit of Japanese grammar. It seems that, in a way, this language has a certain poetic potential, surely it has much more than dull Portuguese ...
And thank you for showing me that without a sharp Japanese I do not just lose understanding of the pornographic games.

About Logan Paul, I have only one patriophobic opinion:
If he made this kind of video on the Tea Viaduct or the Santa Ifigênia Viaduct (bland versions of the Golden Gate), it would be full of people throwing themselves off the bridges because "there is an American recording about suicides and I have to throw myself because I have to become famous ".

In Brazil, every American is treated as a god.

Japanese is a beautiful language.  I've studied it a little myself.

I agree so much with this. Just because learning Japanese is hard it doesn't mean that it isn't fun.

I only know enough Japanese enough to fun purposes, like translating one or other manga I happen to enjoy. But I intend learn enough to use it for professional purposes, like professional translation and teaching.

There's so many incorrect information about the Japanese language that can be clarified in a matter of minutes, I really think I can do a good job in this regard.

Well, as a Brazilian (and from São Paulo, on top of that) I can sort of confirm what you say. But what I want to expose is something different.

What makes me feel mad about that incident is much more than the fact that he used human misery as a tool for getting views, due to shock value potential.

What makes me mad is his overall attitude in regard to foreign cultures as a whole:

Not to mention, as somebody who deals with depression on a daily basis, I know how a person looks when he feels truly ashamed of his behavior.

Watching his alledged apologize video, I can't see any kind of emotion in what he says.

What makes me mad isn't only the shock value of his video in Aokigahara. It's how he promotes prejudice against other cultures, doesn't show signs of remorse for that and Youtube doesn't take any action against the content he uploads there.

All this leaves me with a doubt: Can a YouTuber make less money than it usually gets when it submits a video that receives several dislikes?

It's because I'm going to throw stones at him for acting cowardly (if you did the shit, then you should be man enough to take what you did and not hide the mistake), but I do not know if he's a cowardly buffoon or a greedy coward.

And this Logan just confirmed that YouTube is contemporaneum version of the Neverland.

  7. I have a question for you fellows who happen to be studying Japanese language like me.

I have a friend (I'm not lying, it really is for a firend) who has interest in learning Japanese from scratch, like I'm doing.

I would like to recommend him books for beginners. However, I can't recommend him the books I used so far, which are the books from Marugoto series:

    eQhbzkB.gif

The problem with them? They're focused in group activities and losing your fear of communicating with native Japanese people. Thus, their focus isn't grammar or extensive vocabulary, but conversation techniques.

And my friend's focus, like mine, doesn't seem to be communication, but reading and listening comprehension.

As much as Marugot ocan teach him some grammar and vocabulary, I would rather recommend some books more suitable for self-learning. Something that isn't so kanji-phobic as the Marugoto series.

    Any recommendation?

This page will be useful even for me. I don't know yet how much useful is for absolute beginners, but I'm definitely take a good look at it.

  8. Strange. Japanese guys tend to make gijinkas of so many bizarre concepts:

    OS Systems (OS-Tans)

    Military Ships (Kantai Collection)

    Videogame consoles (Neptunia)

    Swords (Shinken!!)

    Soda cans (Akikan!)

    Penises (Chinbutsu)

    Lovercraft Monsters (Haiyore! Nyarko-san)

Yet, they never made anything with the concept of musical styles.

Since musical styles usually come with a fashion trend associated to them, their gijinkas would be considerably easy to do, and it would be easy to find a gijinka you can relate to.

And the possibilities are endless. A good Pixiv artist would have a field day with them.

    House-tan

    Enka-tan

    Funk-tan

    Gamelan-tan

    Jitterbug-tan

    Mambo-tan

    Doo-wop-tan

    Vaporwave-tan

    Glam Rock-tan

    Minimal-tan

    Gregorian Chant-tan

    Tribal-tan

and so on. It sounds much more interesting than anthropomorphizing railway stations, pepper species or salmon fillets.

Did I write "OS Systems"? Lol, it would mean "Operating System Sytems" genius.jpg

And "Chinbutsu"... another typo. It's actually "Chintsubu".

I meant "anthropomorphizations". I didn't mean necessarily girls.

  10. The title says all. I enjoy these songs enough to want to sing together, but the language barrier impedes me. I wonder if some English native speaker who can help me with the lyrics of these songs. And there's this next one, which I had to upload in Youtube as an unlisted video, because it can't be found at any video streaming site, and I risk facing a strike from Youtube. It's in Japanese, which makes identifying the lyrics 500x harder. Junko Ohashi - Arabian Night ( 大橋純子 - アラビアン・ナイト ) My listening comprehension only took me as far as the 1st line: アラブの 町へ 旅する 魔法の 絨毯 飛び立つ ARABU no machi he tabisuru, mahou no juutan tobitatsu (Flying on a magic carpet, going to an Arabian city) I appreciate any help. Sorry if I'm posting on the wrong section.

and then their night of passionate "breeding" gets interrupted by Nebby escaping from the bag for the Nth time.

  12. Yes. Kemono Friends is as good as people say. The art is indeed clumsy, the cast consists of nothing but animals anthropomorphized into cute girls and this might turn people off as it did to me initially.

But the way the story was told, and the way the interactions between the characters were portrayed, were somehing totally different from any anime I watched before.

It doesn't appeal to meaningless violence or  sexualization (there are the penguin girls, who are sexualized and their design clash a little with the other girls, but they are as well-characterized as everybody else, so I give them a pass).

It also receives props for the fact that I didn't find any of the characters dislikable.

I could write a lot about how refreshing my experience with the anime was, but I don't have the skills to point all the qualities the show displayed.

It takes a little to get used to, but I recommend it, if you're curious about what the fuss is about (like I was).
