Ryou

It started out okay (keyword is "okay," it's not even amazing even before the decline), but it definitely went into a rapid downward spiral ever since the author died and the hack writers of RoosterTeeth took over. It's one of the few series where I legitimate hate most of the cast, not just the awful story writing alone.

If anything, the only positive I can say about it is that it is visually enjoyable, but other than that, not much is there.

It's not even visually good, it's PS1 quality 20 years too late, but I give that flaw of pass compared to the writing and characterization because RWBY started out on a very low budget.
